Restyling of shimpaku juniper

Recently I´ve had an oportunity to make a restyling of this very promissing shimpaku juniper. The tree was imported from Japan around year 2000, in 2004 it was exhibited in czech national convention where it won a price as one of the top 10 of exhibition. Thanks to the restyling a good looking image was restored and the tree was brought one step further in its bonsai journey. The repotting is scheduled for the spring 2012, nice round lotos-shape pot is already waiting for new occupant :-).

  1. You brought the tree to life again! Good work!

I think I like the second front more, because the life vein has more movement. And if you would reposition the first branch on the right a bit it would look perfect.

  3. Thanks for the comments, guys! The final decision regarding the front will be made together with client, it will be his choice :-).
Martin, the top just seems to be heavy, in reality it´s not a big deal, you will see it in person very soon, anyway.
